Austin, Texas, also known as the live music capital of the world, is home to many bars and venues that have millions of tourists flocking to the city each year. With over 250 venues and bars, Austin promises to cater to your music tastes no matter the season or day. But before we jump into Austin’s most famous venues, let’s showcase some of the extortionary talent that boasts Austin as their hometown.

  • Willie Nelson. You can not talk about Austin’s music scene and not talk about how prominent Willie Nelson is to the community. In 1993, this legend was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Chances are you have heard at least one song from this Texas native, such as ‘On the road again’ and ‘Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys’. If you are lucky, you might even catch Mr. Nelson performing at one of Austin’s famous venues. Willie Nelson and his band, Family, are still touring the world to this day.
  • Gary Clark Jr. is best known for how he fuses blues, rock, soul, and R&B together to create music that resonates across different genres and audiences. In 2020, Mr. Clark released his Grammy winning album, This Land, which was inspired after a dispute with a neighbor over his horse ranch. Gary Clark Jr’s music can be heard in a variety of media outlets, such as Max Payne 3 and Think Like A Man.

Thousands and thousands of people flock to this award-winning venue each year.
  • The White Horse is one bar that is open every day, providing its visitors with the opportunity to two step to the tunes of live blue grass and country music. Not only is this place family friendly with a taco truck outside, but they offer dog friendly seating in their patio area.
