Movie review: Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die (no spoilers)

I've watched this movie in an airplane in 2026, a year after it came out.

Overall, I'll give it a solid 7/10 rating: worth watching.

The basic premise is that the world is overrun by social networks and AI, and all the people have turned into mindless drones and all they do is scroll on tiktok... I'm talking about the movie, not the real life. You can already see how this is great: it's already happening or has happened, and the movie is great social commentary.

Using cursor is infuriating - AI makes you dumb

I just installed the newest cursor (3.11.x) text editor and I hate it. It tries to type in front of me. I can't think straight while that is happening.

If the words on the screen change before, during, and after I type - it is as if I'm not typing at all. But the AI is not smarter than me, I am smarter than it. If some business wants to give the task of writing to the text editor itself - that's their choice. As for me, as a software specialist, I cannot give up the task of thinking. It is my job.

Hyundai takes full control of Boston Dynamics as SoftBank exits for $325 million

Hyundai Motor Group is acquiring SoftBank's remaining 9.65% stake in Boston Dynamics for $325 million, completing its full ownership of the robotics company. The deal closes as Boston Dynamics' Atlas humanoid robot enters commercial deployment and the broader humanoid race intensifies against Tesla Optimus and Figure AI. SoftBank exits to redeploy capital toward its $41 billion OpenAI bet and AI infrastructure.

AI sure has come a looong way in the last 2 years...
I haven't watched this b/c youtube is blocked for me, but - just from reading the title - nah dawg, you don't "trick" a leader of a sovereign country - even Trump - into spending billions and lives, that's not a trick, that's a design.

And since when do we call these things "wars"? Isn't this a... peace keeping mission, or something? Forward peaceful preempty real estate project, or something? Last I checked, congress hasn't authorized shit.
...and it took about a month to clear out the negative sentiment. From March 9th, to... april 10th, actually earlier, much earlier than that. So this TACO whip lasted 3 weeks, maybe less.

But then this begs the question: did I reposition completely from long to short in just 3 weeks?
