Комодский варан, он же гигантский индонезийский дракон, он же наземный крокодил на языке местного населения - это грозный хищник, достигающий более четырех метров в длину. Он способен завалить животное, в 15 раз превышающее его по весу, вплоть до буйвола. А если валить жертву ему лень, может просто слегка укусить, так что через несколько дней она сама погибает от заражения крови.

В своих повадках это чудовище нагло и бесстрашно, потому что бояться ему некого. От браконьеров его защищают государство и толстенная крепкая кожа, а со всеми прочими он сам легко справится.
