Low-cost drones have transformed modern warfare forever during the nearly four-year-long Russia-Ukraine war. These commercially available systems have been used to strike cities, power grids, ports, refineries, and military bases, delivering maximum impact at minimal cost.

The evolution of these drones is notable as well. One major issue that drones on both sides of the battlefield have faced is counter-drone operations involving electronic warfare, interceptor drones, fighter jets, and attack helicopters. However, none have yet proven consistently effective at scale.

Update(20:50ET): A mere hours after widespread American mainstream media reports named Maduro's staunchly 'loyal' Vice Presedent Delcy Rodríguez a CIA/US military informer who cooperated with the Trump-ordered invasion which ousted and kidnapped the country's sitting head of state to US soil, there are reports of heavy gunfire engulfing the Venezuelan capital, near the presidential palace. Though there are conflicting reports.

Is there something fundamentally wrong with a celebrity being conservative?  According to the political left, such a prospect calls for immediate and uncompromising punishment from the woke cult.  After all, conservative movie and music stars are rare for a reason - They get blacklisted.

Last week, Zohran Mamdani was sworn in as the 111th mayor of New York City. This would have been scarcely thought possible just one year ago. The spirit with which Mamdani organized and beat an avatar of the state political establishment—twice—sustained progressives during the long winter of 2025 and provided some hope that charisma, expert use of modern communications, and a laser focus on the cost of living could produce a winning formula.

The Wall Street Journal has confirmed our earlier report that left-wing Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, embattled by alleged Somali-linked welfare fraud in his state, has ended his bid for a third term.

"As I reflected on this moment with my family and my team over the holidays, I came to the conclusion that I can't give a political campaign my all."

Over the weekend as the world watched Trump's Venezuela intervention unfold, the Iran protests reached a full week. While AFP and others have reported in some locales clashes between demonstrators and police, which have after entering day nine have left 12 people dead, including members of security forces, it is clear that this wave of largely economic-driven protests have yet to reach the size of the 2022 'anti-hijab' protests.

That didn't take long. At a moment Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro and his wife Flores are set to appear before a New York federal judge on various drug-trafficking and gun-running related charges, his VP and now apparently Interim President Delcy Rodriguez is offering a huge olive branch.
